Dick Pulled the Pin!

Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters

As you may have heard by now, Richard "Dick" Zampa has announced his retirement effective January 31, 2006 after 50 years of dedicated service to the Iron Workers Union.

Dick has expressly declined to have a retirement dinner given in his honor, but has agreed to allow us to put together a souvenir booklet commemorating his many contributions over the years to the improvement of the lives of the many working men and women of the Building and Construction Trades and the AFL-CIO.

The proceeds of this commemorative booklet will go to the newly formed 501c (3) Non Profit Corporation, The Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge. As a result, all gifts will be fully tax deductible.  The Tax ID number for all contributions is #27-0126341.

The stated purpose of The Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge non profit organization is to provide funding to perpetuate the name of the Bridge and to recognize and honor the many contributions of immigrant and all blue collar workers in the building and construction trades throughout the United States.

This Non-Profit Organization is run entirely by volunteers and there are no paid positions.  Your donations will not only graciously recognize the service of Brother Dick Zampa, but will also serve to continue to educate and provide neighboring communities and visitors with important historical information about union workers and their many contributions of the past, present and future.

We hope you will participate in making this souvenir booklet a great success by purchasing an ad, message, story or photo memorializing Dicks personal service of the last fifty years.  Any and all contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and a copy of the printed booklet will be provided to all contributors.

A price list is enclosed for your information.  Please send your camera ready artwork, jpeg photographs and or personal message for inclusion in the booklet including the following:
