Union Dues:
1. The Local will not bill you for your membership dues; it is your responsibility to get your dues paid on time.
2. If you mail in your payment with a check or money order, you MUST add your BK# or SSN. This is to insure that the payment is added to correct member.

Reporting An Injury:
PLEASE CONTACT THE LOCAL UNION OFFICE: If you are injured you need to contact the Local and inform us of your injury, even if your injury occured at home. You may be entitled to some benefits.

Sick and Accident Benefit:
If you're out on disability due to an injury, you must be report this within one week of the accident. You also must be paid current at the time of the accident to be eligiable for the Sick and Accident Benefit.

Change of Address:
Please contact the Local office to give us your new address. Upon your request, we will send you the Change of Address form that should be mailed to the Trust Fund.
In addition to making the changes at the Local and the Trust Fund, you must go in person to the Apprenticeship to change your address and contact Mobile Medical at 916-333-6403.

Applying for Unemployment:
If you are laid off or are attending school and have applied for unemployement, DO NOT give the unemployment office the Local Union as your employer, as we DO NOT employ you and will state that we are not your employer.
Out-Of-Work List and Roll Call:
Dispatch Hours are Monday through Friday from 7am-9:30am
If for any reason your employer lays you off, you can sign the "Out-Of-Work list".
Journeymen can sign their name to the "Out-Of-Work list"anytime during business hours. The Journeymen should make a note of the four-digit number listed on the line where the name is added. This number is known as a "Tag Number". This Tag Number will be needed every Wednesday for Roll Call. Failure to call in before 9:30am or be present on Roll Call Wednesday will result in removal of the Tag; the member will loose his/her spot on the board.
Apprentices can only sign their name to the list during dispatch hours. Apprentices should be present daily to add their name to the list every day.

Honorary Membership
An Honorary Member is one who is permanently disabled or incapacitated and should not be working with this status. Applicants for Honorary membership must be in good standing and have 5 years of continuous membership at the time of the application and must be per manently disabled or incapacitated as a result of working in the trade. The appropriate documentation must be attaced to the application. As an Honorary Member, the monthly union dues are reduced to a rate of $8.40 per month.

Lifetime Membership
A Lifetime Member never has to pay union dues again. This membership needs to be applied for and is not automatic at the time of your retirement. Below are the requirements:
Regular application:
65 years of age, 25 years of CONTINUOUS membership and be in good standing.
Disability application:
20 years of CONTINUOUS membership, be in good standing, permanently disabled and Social Security Disability Award.

Local Death Benefit:
The death of a member needs to be reported to the Local Union as soon as possible.
If a member passes and is behind in his membership dues, you cannot make a payment to bring this member current. The member's family would not be entitled to the Death Benefits from International or the Local Union.
